Long, unforgiving winters in Albany, NY can breed bold personality and raw perceptions of a world gone insane. A random practice session in the winter of 2006 saw these personalities converge to produce the three core members of what is now Born Low. The three had been involved in various eras of the Albany hardcore scene and beyond. Derrick VanWie (ex-One King Down, The Promise), Kyle Chard (ex-Once and For All) and Joe Cammarere (ex-Lariat, Burning Bridges) spent most of 2007 in a small practice room forging a sound and a bond. In 2008, they solidified the line-up with Kyle moving from bass to vocals. Their efforts resulted in the 2008 demo, "Only Death Will Deliver." Not entirely satisfied with the result, the band went to work with a refined focus on what would be their next release for Reaper Records, "Reincarnage." Eight songs full of New York Hardcore essence and attitude, serving to expose the truth and realities of a city and world short on promise. With the recent additions of Sam Emory (Guitar) and Zack Jansen (Bass), Born Low is a solid as ever and looking forward to a future with an uncompromising presence.
